Students in my classroom do not spend most of their time sitting at their desk. Their little bodies can be restless and a desk is certainly not a comfortable spot to be in all day. My students work most of the time in their literacy and math groups rotating around the classroom. Students also know that if they are in an uncomfortable spot that they may go to a place in the classroom where they feel they will learn better. When you enter into my classroom you will see children scattered around but when you approach them they are engaged and doing their required work. In order for students to learn their bodies and minds must feel ready to. Learning tools are limited and I am looking to provide my students with everything they need to remain engaged in learning. I am also looking for a larger comfortable rug where two groups could work on. A large rug would also provide individual spaces for students to go to and do their work comfortably.
