I have several buzzing first graders. Our Bee Hive is extremely diverse. Majority of my classroom receives free and reduced lunch. I teach my students all four subjects. Our classroom is big on centers and student centered learning. We come into the Bee Hive eager to learn. Then we exit the Bee Hive as new and eager second graders. Each year is a pleasure working with wonderful first graders. My personal goal is to prepare my kids intellectually and emotionally for the next grade level. We use a variety of resources such as technology and small group learning activities. All of these things enhance the classroom environment. This is what makes my classroom a great place for learning.
