A lot of people have the misconception that teaching junior high students is difficult because the students themselves are difficult. I find every year quite the opposite. My students are excited and energetic. They want to learn new things and have their ideas heard. Most of my junior high students walk in the classroom with a smile on their faces, and we strive to make our classroom a place where everyone can learn something, take risks, and feel at home.
