All of my students want the opportunity to learn in different ways. Our class has 3 desktop computers that are in scarce working condition, and when they do there is not a lot of space for students to work together while sitting at the computer. In class the tablets would offer students the ability to engage in an activity or assignment, both individually and alone, from any area of the room. This helps the students not only learn, but be able to complete the curriculum assigned, as well as have fun digitally. As my students continue to use the tablets, they will be engaging in an educational endeavor that will also be teaching them how to successfully prepare for their futures. We will be able to take these tablets with us as we travel around the school building, and be able to use them to further enhance our learning. The tablets would give my students many different opportunities to engage in learning. First and foremost, it will give them the ability to go wire free and travel while learning. Secondly, students would be given the opportunity to show that learning is more than just paper and pencil. There is a world of learning at just the touch of a finger tip. Lastly, students will be able to immediately access the material they are curious about, which will make learning fun and easy for them. These tablets will show many of my students a way of life they are not currently exposed to, nor have been. This way of digital learning will show my students that there are many different ways in life to learn about the things you are taught. No one way is always the best way for the many different ways a student can learn.
