I teach 5th Grade Beginner Band in four elementary schools in rural Maine. According to the State of Maine, my school district averages about 46% of students qualifying for free or reduced-cost lunch, and two of the elementary schools I teach at average over 57% qualification. Needless to say, this is not a wealthy community, and I try to do as much as I can to help these students get as many opportunities as possible to be successful. I am proud of my students and what they are able to accomplish! Thank YOU for considering this project to be able to provide my students what they need to keep their instruments making beautiful music!

About my class
