I teach in a rural school district in Southern Oregon. Our school is a high poverty school with 80% free and reduced lunch as well as many homeless and highly mobile youth. This is my 31st year working with this amazing school community that serves a very special population of children. My current classroom is 23 students with a diverse set of needs ranging from behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, an academic blind student, as well as a Talented and Gifted Student. One year ago, our school had a single chromebook cart to share for the entire school. We are slowly building our capacity to bring more technology to every student. Our district just began using technology assisted instruction and students are responding well and showing growth. The challenge now is to build the capacity to create access for all students.
