There are more than 700 students at our school. Our students enjoy reading and are competitively involved with our reading rewards program. They often spend lunch periods and recess in the library testing. They often donate books from their personal libraries to our school library so that their peers can enjoy books they have read. Many special requests are made every year for books to be added to the library. We have students in the Kindergarten classes that are already testing for points in our reading rewards program and many eager to have a chance to begin testing. Our school currently leads as the top school in our district and has been recognized by both our County and State as an Award Achieving School. As a Librarian, I work hard to keep information current and updated so that each child will find material that interests and entertains them, so that they will actively seek out reading.
