These materials will curve or eliminate the cost for students to discover that they are writers and artists. One of the toughest standards for my students to master is connecting common themes or key scenes from different mediums. Allowing them to become the author and make connections to what they write and to what they create through art is one of the most rewarding and satisfying ways to master multiple reading standards. Their work will be presented during a literacy program that will highlight the importance of reading and writing. Their works (writing and artwork) will be displayed for their families, school, and community to view.
