Although my school is a Math and Science Academy, my first graders still need the support, just like any young learner, when it comes to reading. Having leveled books will help students not get frustrated when they are reading in class and instead find love and passion for reading. Picking up a book and not knowing the words can be very discouraging. At a young age this can scare students away from loving to read, which is not what we want. We want to encourage students to read as much as they can, and with these leveled readers I can do just that.
