Traveling out of state is a rare opportunity for students at any school, but our tiny school will have the opportunity to be represented while competing on a national level. Being awarded second place in the state FBLA competition allows for one last competition at the FBLA National Leadership Conference held several states away. This is a very expensive endeavor, and one my students have never had an opportunity like this in the past. Although we are budgeting to travel and stay as inexpensively as possible, my student will be greatly rewarded with national recognition and memories that will last a lifetime. A life will be changed with this opportunity because confidence will be boosted and everyone will know that even girls can be FBLA champions, too!
