Our students have as many diverse strengths as they do needs. In order to meet the more intensive needs of roughly 15% of our student body, or approximately 87 students per school year, our leadership team is planning the “Eagle’s Nest”—a school sensory room where students can self-regulate and develop healthy coping skills needed for optimal mental health and wellness. While we are able to fund the room with highly-skilled professionals, we need your help to fully supply the room to be equipped for success. All items have been thoughtfully and intentionally selected based on research-driven, best practices and under the guidance of Salem-Keizer Public Schools’ Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Professionals.
