The first thing my kinder students learn is that they are explorers, in our class and in the world. I use this to teach them values such as bravery, kindness, curiosity, leadership and to establish a growth mindset. The tools and supplies I am requesting will be used to prepare an Adventurer Survival Kit filled with tools to help them learn at home during virtual school time and to continue their exploring beyond. The Multi-cultural Crayola crayons will reflect their identity and their families when publish their drawing and writing. Play-Doh will be sent home to be used to shape letters, numbers, words, shapes, to count and practice basic arithmetic, and of course, for creative playtime. Storage furniture will help organize the classroom environment for when we return as the space must be uncluttered to allow for safe movement within the classroom environment.
