Students would benefit from this water garden because it will help students see how parts of a system interact. This tank is able to grow food for the beta by growing plants. The students would benefit from seeing a Beta service from plant growth. This will show students a mini aquaponic ecosystem that has the ability to grow plants without dirt. If students are able to observe the interaction of the system and make connections to how habitats work in the real world, then students can learn about the needs of plants and animals. This fish tank would address many misconceptions about what plants need to grow. This will also help my student gain an appreciation for plants and animals in their community.
