I use technology in my classroom every day to meet the needs of my diverse learners. One student may need more practice or instruction on a certain topic and another student may be ready for a more difficult or enrichment activity on the same topic - this is called differentiation and it happens daily in my classes. Have you ever tried to count or complete a math task while the person next to you is shouting random numbers? Not easy! A class set of headphones will allow students to work on a different activity or lesson without disrupting and distracting the peer sitting next to them. A class set of computer mice will allow students to complete these different activities and lessons easier. Have you ever tried to type your work for a math problem? Or draw your work digitally with the trackpad? It's very time-consuming and definitely more difficult than using a mouse would be. Headphones and computer mice will allow me to better individualize my students' learning!
