I teach in a public high school located in a low-income community in the inner-city. All of my students are students of color, and they often do not have access to the same educational necessities that are available in more affluent schools and districts. My students are incredibly hardworking. I am constantly impressed by their intellect and diligence. They are all mathematicians, and when they get the chance to, they do great things with technology. I teach 125 students daily, and these 7 calculators as a class set would mean students could pair up and have the opportunity to work with this incredibly valuable tool.
