Each one of my students is on a different grade level when it comes to reading and math skills. Talk about differentiated instruction! Online programs such as Moby Max and Reading A-Z help tremendously with pinpointing the individual skills that each student is missing and gives them fun activities that help them master those missing reading and math skills. The availability of technology such as laptops is limited at my school and oftentimes it's a daily struggle to try and reserve enough laptops for my students to use. If we had a set of chrome books specifically designated for my Mild Intellectual Disability class, my students would have daily access to programs that are specifically geared towards their individual academic needs. That daily access to individual functional academics would have a huge impact on their learning and progress.
