The donations to this project will help my students understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing. By having their own journals , pencils and crayons that is appropriate for their level of development my students will be able to see themselves as true authors and illustrators. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long writers. Studies show that young students who are write daily become better readers. ,Each year I also allow my students the opportunity to explore the life cycle of a butterfly . We observe take care of and keep notes on the process from start to finish. Last year was the first time in 22 years of teaching that we did not enjoy this experience because of lack of funds. with your help and support I can ensure that my students will be able to have this opportunity this coming school year.
