Giving my students the ability to choose where they want to sit will foster an engaging learning environment and encourage more student participation. When students are relaxed and feeling confident, more learning happens. This authentic classroom will add a calming effect to the classroom. Preparing students for the real world, involves having a dynamic environment that reflects life outside of a traditional classroom. This classroom is FULL of choices as to where to sit and do your work. When students choose what learning area is most comfortable for them, they are taking ownership of their learning. The 21st century classroom replicates where many of my students could work in the future, including technology jobs such as google and amazon. This classroom also may remind you a lot of Starbucks. This classroom is the future of our education world!
