Inspired by my teachers as a child, my nose was often buried in chapter books, picture books, and anything else that I could get my paws on. I loved learning about new things or just reading for pure enjoyment. This will be my tenth year in the teaching profession and my seventh year teaching fourth grade in Kalkaska, Michigan. My students are eager to learn and enthusiastic about reading, however, their families do not always have the resources at home to help them purchase books or build an at home library. With on-going budget cuts our resources in our district are limited. I hope to obtain the books needed to inspire and to help my students develop a love for reading too!
