My students attend an inner city public school that consists of low income families. Sadly, many of the students lack the resources and support to have technology experience at home. Despite their home environment they are very inquisitive and have a strong desire to learn. School is the only place that offers opportunities for students to explore, interact, experience and learn what their financially well off peers learn at such an earlier age. Unfortunately with the lack of funding, our schools are having difficulty providing the necessary provisions to help our students prepare and compete in the 21st century. My main goal is to increase students reading abilities, promote the love of books and provide a range of learning opportunities for students to understand and grasp concepts through the traditional and nontraditional teaching.
