I've never met a child that said, "I don't want to play your game." Kids love playing games, as well as most adults. I like to incorporate games and fun activities into as many lessons as possible. It makes a huge difference in students outcomes and their willingness to participate and learn from what we are studying. Playing games offers so much more than just a standards-based learning experience. Sadly, a lot of my student lack social skills that are needed in our everyday lives. Incorporating games into learning, allows me to help them socialize, communicate, take turns, reason, develop sportsmanship, and facilitate others in their journey to achieve. The organizational cart will allow students to understand the importance of being organized and cleaning up after themselves. If everything has a place, it can be put back and the next time you need it, there is no need for a treasure hunt! Organization is one of the keys to classroom success.
