Our reading block is one of the most important parts of our school day! During this time myself and my ENL (English New Learners) teacher focus on reading and writing. My students are all emerging readers. Their love for books have grown tremendously since the beginning of the school year. During our reading time we set up fun and engaging centers. These centers give our students reading activities that allow them to do independently. These centers give them self confidence because it’s something they can do on their own! Listening is an important part of communication. Having a listening center would help my students with their listening skills in all aspects of academics! Gifting my students with a listening center would enhance my students education and give them another great resource in the classroom!
