These books will be used for literature circles in the classroom. One of my goals as a teacher to is to help students find value and joy in reading leisurely. Students will be put in book clubs where they will be reading the same text. All the books that have been chosen are young adult novels that are appropriate for my students. Students will be able to have the autonomy to pick their own books and build their own book clubs in the classroom! With these new books, my students will be able to create and build new relationships with their peers by having discussions about the same text. My students will design their own calendar plans with specific reading roles aimed to focus and enhance their own reading experience. My students are extremely enthusiastic, and I can not wait to see how this project can further help promote their literacy levels.
