Many of my students tend to fidget while reading books independently. In the past, I have used carpet squares on the floor of my classroom. When using the carpet squares, I have noticed students moving on the cold floor and not attending to the text. The bungee chairs will allow my students to sit comfortably while reading in my classroom and also create a welcoming, at-home feel. My students will use these chairs while rereading familiar books that they will pick on their own. By having these bungee chairs in my classroom, I am hoping to motivate reluctant readers and create an excitement in reading!
