My scholars are limited by things that the world has dealt them so far. My goal as their teacher is to help give them opportunities to dream and see beyond what they already have. By giving them the opportunity to use these Kindle Tablets, they can have more opportunities to research and experience the world from our classroom. At our school, we do have a class set of 12 Chromebooks, but when you have 26 scholars, I have to carefully manage who gets computer time and it limits how effectively I can use technology. My scholars are young and full of hopes and dreams. By having access to these Kindles, I can give them the opportunity to see where they can go in life. I can also help to differentiate what they are learning by having these tools in the classroom. By doing so, I can help them find success in the everyday learning of school and then that can transfer to life and how they can find ways to overcome obstacles that keep them from living their dreams.
