These books will help my sixth grade students understand the science topics we will cover in their first year of middle school. Students at this age loves comics and graphic novels. The students will be encouraged to read these books in class or check them out from the class library and complete the hands-on projects as an extension of the regular classroom instruction. These books will help introduce new science concepts and provide ideas for hands-on application of the concept in the book. Students learn best when the information is presented in an accessible way and then applied. I am looking forward to great discussions with my students about the new ideas they are learning and trying!
