The titles I have selected to build our classroom library with will inspire my students to succeed and drive them to read outside of just school. My hope is to fill our library with books that students can take with them that encourage them to WANT to read. The books listed are ones that my students have expressed interest in, and I hope that giving them access to these books on a daily basis will increase their reading stamina and allow them to get caught up in a story. Many of my students have set goals for themselves to read a book from start to finish, however, they struggle to find books that keep their attention. To see my students engaged and comprehending stories that interest them is good for my soul, just as reading is good for theirs!
