Flexible seating will give my students the autonomy and comfortability they need to take charge of their learning! Recently in my classroom, I have allowed my students the option of free-choice seating and the results have been amazing. Since allowing free-choice seating, my students have grown in their math and reading scores and, even more than that, their attitude towards learning has become increasingly positive. My 2nd graders have become more engaged and more encouraging of their peers. I believe that bean bag chairs and floor flex seats will advance my results even further. Options for flexible seating will help create a productive and affirming learning environment wherein my students feel safe, serene, and joyful. It is my dream that these alternative seating options will support my students' growth and enrich their overall learning experience.
