My students are diagnosed with Autism and Speech Impairment. These tablets will positively impact my students' communication skills. They will serve as an assistive technology that will increase their opportunities to narrate, express, and request. I want them to be involved in the school community. One way of doing this is by having a portable device that can accommodate their communication needs. In order to be part of a conversation, my students should have the power to convey their very own messages. It is time that they have their voice as they have been wonderful listeners to all. I would like to refer to my students as diverse learners. They are capable of plenty of things but their journey is just different from most. Having a reliable device that can adapt to their needs will pave the way to a successful future.
