I am a 2nd-grade ELL Language Arts, Science/S.S., and Math teacher. We are a low socioeconomic Title I school. We have a very high population of students with limited English proficiency. We are fortunate enough to have a SMART Board, but currently do not have enough classroom computers to go around. My students are extremely comfortable and proficient with technology since we incorporate it into our instruction daily. My goal is to have an iPad so that my students can use different apps to better their English and to use during centers, research for projects, and independent reading. I currently am a sheltered ELL class and have 21 students. All of my students are English Language Learners, while about half in my second class are classified as such. I have students ranging from A1 (non-English speaker) to a C1 (advanced English speaker). All of my students are motivated to learn and really great kids!
