I work in a large, rural school. A large percentage of students are low SES and fall in the poverty range. Our school is quite large with over 600 students and supplies and funds are very limited. I teach 3rd grade students who have a ton of energy and require a lot of hands on activities. They are the hardest workers and love technology. They are very curious and as a whole, love to participate and be heard. Requested items are used daily in the classroom. They will also be used for center activities to reteach and practice skills through the web. I have a very eager class, and they are so good about taking care of materials. They deserve the best because they are the best. They come from supportive and involved homes but unfortunately, financially, support is not there.
