We are moving to MLPBL/STEM in science. These materials will not only be used for science, but across the curriculum in ELA (we make posters, bookmarks, write essays, small groups etc), math (group work, posters, small groups), and social studies (posters, essays, brochures, investigating artifacts). As I teach all subjects, I need to prepare my students for 3rd grade and beyond. These materials will make our classroom culture more stable from Day 1 and give students opportunities to explore, collaborate, and learn not only from me, but from each other. These tools will be used to create science, and ELA journals, and writing utensils to share their ideas, whether its in pictures, words, or different models.
