My TK students will have many opportunities to experience spring first hand with the STEM related activities. They will be able to sort, organize, and classify with the Skoolzy Butterfly Kids STEM manipulatives and the Learning Resources Garden Critter Counters. They will build fine motor skills using the Learning Resources Gator Grabber Tweezers. They will learn differences in balance and weight using the counters with the ETA Plastic Math Balance & the Delta Two-Piece Stackable Balance. The students will learn about life cycles as they occur in nature with the Safari Ltd Life Cycle manipulatives, along with having their first chance to view life through kid friendly Educational Insight GeoSafari microscope. If that isn't enough, they will also get to put their engineering skills in action as they build a spring garden with the Learning Resources Gears! Gears! Gears! Learning to count with the Learning Resources Snap and Count Bugs along with the Color Bug Catchers will lead to hours of fun. Having the chance to look at Plant Parts, the Life Cycle of a Bean Plant and view a book on Parts of a Flower will all be beneficial. We will incorporate all areas of STEM into our spring centers.
