I teach first grade at a Title 1 School.My classroom is a pretty decent size and I try to organize it so that it is roomy. It's lit up with bright colors and exciting bulletin boards that catches my students attention and has them asking questions. My first graders are eager to learn and look to me for guidance. I've always taught the upper grades, but I love teaching first grade. They are so impressionable at this age. I love to be creative in what I teach. Recently we were doing the fairy tales unit and I designed a beanstalk in my classroom and then we grew our own. I never realized that the little things like that just lights them up with excitement for learning about the story.
