Our students are typical high school students, curious, ambitious, and social, who unfortunately have not had many experiences in life outside of their inner-city neighborhoods. I teach at a school of choice we refer to as "The Great" in St. Louis, Missouri. Our students apply to this school because "we are the premier choice for the college-bound student!" Our students are primarily interested in pursuing higher education relating to the law, criminal justice, and social justice. However, our college-bound students do not have access to many of the resources other students do, which can present unique challenges as they prepare for bright futures.
