I am a teacher in a low income, high poverty school. Many of my students are on free and reduced lunches. These students show grit and determination everyday at home, on the farm, and in the classroom. They show a tremendous work ethic with each new lesson or project and always want to do their best. My students need to learn in a 21st century classroom, but have limited access to items that help create a student centered learning environment. My district has been faced with tight budgets as many schools are and struggles just to meet the basic needs. They are eager to learn and always ready to tackle new tasks. I want to be able to provide them with a classroom environment that allows them to be creative and successful.
