I teach math and science to 48 third graders. They are eager to please and hungry to learn. Excessive mandated testing is squelching their fire and curiosity. They desperately want to work with their hands and be noisy! I teach in a neighborhood school of roughly 1,000 students with an increasing number of low income families. These kids need even more motivation to keep their minds focused on learning and the realization that learning can be fun and exciting.

About my class
