My classroom consists of nine learning centers. One of the centers focuses on sensory play. I have a sand table for the students, however, do not have the supplies to fill it. Year round we use fine sand for the table. I would like to provide other sensory exploration experiences for the students. Sensory play is an important part of a child’s development. With sensory play children are building their language, fine and gross motor skills, and social skills. With sensory items (Speedy Snow and Kinetic Sensory Sand) students will explore their senses. Sensory play is also a fun way for young children to explore the world around them!
