My middle schoolers are wonderful students who want to learn to play music. General music students are typically those who are reluctant musicians, in that they feel shy or intimidated about learning to sing or play an instrument. They are, however great music aficionados, and putting a guitar in their hands will help them reach goals like music literacy, confidence, working together. They will also learn a life skill that will help them to think critically and express themselves.
