My students need this carpet for whole-group instruction, so they do not have to sit directly on the floor. They will sit on the carpet all throughout the day while at school. I can use this carpet to put my students into color groups, and that will help with classroom management. The carpet will be a "meeting spot" to give students a break from sitting at their desks. We will sit on the carpet for half of the time during math, literacy, science, and social studies instruction. I would be very thankful to receive this carpet, because the concrete floor is very cold! The carpet will provide structure for my students and give each of them their own space.
