I am a special education teacher in a small, family-like, "A" Rated charter school, located in a low socioeconomic neighborhood in South Phoenix. As a special education teacher, my responsibility is to provide interactive lessons that meet each individual student needs, while supporting them emotionally, and ensuring they have a safe space every time they come to our classroom. The thousands of educational applications that are found in the Apple Store, allow me to support students' different strengths and needs. It would allow for students to showcase their talents, and it would give me the ability to provide my students with 21st Century learning. Technology is all around us, and it will continue to be in the world of our children; that is why it is important to teach them how to use technology to enhance their lives, provide them with real world skills, and get them in the path for college.
