I teach Pre-K through Fifth Grade music in an urban school district and most of my students come from disadvantaged homes. My school has a fine arts focus and our teachers are all intensely driven and creative. My music classroom is a very busy one; students rarely sit down. We move from singing to dancing to playing instruments in every class period.
