Serving a low income black and brown community often faces its challenges within a setting of Deep East Oakland, with 91% of our students on free or reduced lunch. Many of our students come to school hungry and often find it hard to pay attention in their classrooms. Your donation will provide granola bars, goldfish, fruit snacks, and crackers to a population of students who often face many other challenges throughout their day, and our team is trying to make food not be one of them. Help our students combat the challenge of their academic achievements by helping us feed our youth and future leaders.
