By donating to my project, you will help put diverse picture books into the hands of students who choose to mentor younger readers. My school library is outdated and my students use my classroom library when reading to the Pre-K class. We desperately need books that reflect the lived experiences of the readers. 4th Grade students who see themselves in the books they read are more engaged readers. Help my students learn to love reading and mentor younger readers. Each week we visit a pre-K class and read to students there. Reluctant readers light up when they read to younger students.
