As a first grade teacher, I have always fought for my classroom to have tables rather than desks for my students. I am taking on a new first-grade classroom in the fall at a new school. After inquiring and searching the school I found that there are not "extra" tables. I am requesting your assistance in providing four rectangular tables so that I can seat students in groups of six students. Classrooms using tables as flexible seating arrangements, such as tables in the place of desks, foster cooperation, communication, and organization. It frees up more space to move about the classroom and to create more learning spaces for students around the room. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Our first-grade class would be extremely grateful if you would choose to help fund this project. I thank you in advance and so will my amazing first-grade students!
