It is a challenge to teach important 21st century skills to my students without basic technology to support the classroom learning. With the computers, I would love to have my students complete animal research projects, STEM research, write blogs, create video lessons for other students, and use advanced individualized learning applications, such as iready, lexia, and reading a-to-z. Having technology in our classroom is the most important component to 21st century learning. I would like to have student work on advance Project Based Learning incentives but it is challenging using books as the primary source of data and research. My students will be more successful as middle schoolers if they are able to start using computer now in elementary school!
