As a new teacher this year, I want to make my classroom a place where my students feel comfortable, cozy, and represented. I have a very social bunch of students this year so I try my very best to allow my students to collaborate, and move around the room during my reading workshop. My students learn and collaborate best when they are given a choice where they would like to work. I would very much love to give my students access to new seating for partner reading around the room, new stools for my guided reading groups, a new book shelf to organize our books with, and a microphone to make group sharing more fun!
