Playing without words... what? My students have limited vocabulary. How can we build their vocabulary? PLAY! My students want to play with their peers however, they do not understand how to play. My students would love to learn how to play with each of these toys. They would learn a lot of new vocabulary from playing with dolls (ex: eat, drink, dirty, clean, sleep etc.) My students would also learn to take turns with toys by playing with blocks and cars. Each of these toys would help teach my students how to play. My students would be able to practice their play skills with adults so they can have meaningful peer interactions during free-play within the classroom. Please help my students learn through play!
