In Earth Science, I have found the more hands-on experiences my students have, the more they relate and understand the concepts being introduced.By investigating the natural surroundings in their community my students are able to make valuable connections and connect the relevancy of what they are learning. It is amazing when I can facilitate student- led learning. The students level of engagement increases along with their depth of understanding of the concepts. Their critical thinking skills and ability to collaborate with others also develops at a higher level. The projects I post are directly related to increasing these experiences for my students.
