With this library as a resource, my students will use their voices to change the world. The many stories told in this classroom library - spanning many time periods, many identities, and many causes - will inspire my students. They will learn about important civil rights movements around the world and see examples of how they can stand up against the injustices they see every day. This library will be accessible to all students to be read freely upon our return to the classroom; however, during remote learning, these books will be used to support a digital learning unit that will help students process current events and inspire them to become young activists for the causes they care about.
